Working at PBL

Over 200 people work at PBL, the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency. Amongst those you will find: biologists, (environmental) economists, physicists, planners, mathematicians, sociologists, social-geographers, public administrators en agricultural engineers. These staff members work in a range of topical departments: Climate, Air and Energy, Integrated Environmental Policy Analysis, Nature and Rural Areas, Spatial Planning and Quality of the Local Environment, Urbanisation and Transport, and Water, Agriculture and Food. PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency conducts and provides independent research. Organizationally, the agency is a subsidiary of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. The agency is located is The Hague, under the same roof as the other assessment agencies.
