Comparison of modeled and observed stratospheric ozone springtime

Publication

Abstract: To investigate how well the global distribution of total ozone is simulated by models we have selected a number of parameters in climatological values we address are timing, magnitude and latitude of the Northern and Southern hemisphere springtime ozone maximum together with the ratio of the spring time maximum to the fall minimum as well as the equator mean. Here we present a comparison of these parameters from 10 two dimensional models, 5 three dimensional models and observations.
