Greenhouse Gas Emissions in the Netherlands: summary Report 1990-1997 (IPCC Tables 7A)

Emissions of CO₂ and N₂O increased from 1990 to 1997 (with a fluctuation of CO₂ in 1996 due to a very cold winter) by 14% and 10%, respectively, while in the same period CH₄ emissions decreased by 14%. Of the 'new' gases (HFCs, PFCs and SF₆), for which 1995 is a reference year, emissions of HFCs decreased substantially in 1997 to a level 35% lower than the 1995 figure, while emissions of PFCs and SF₆ (potential) remained at the same level. Overall CO₂-eq. emissions of all six gases increased in 1997 by 8% relative to the base year 1990 (1995 for the 'new' greenhouse gases) (6% when correcting for temperature.
