Quick scan health benefits and costs of water supply and sanitation
The objective of this report is to outline the development issues in the interaction of water & sanitation and population health in general, and to summarise possible solutions to reduce the water-related burden of disease. This health impact study also describes the financial investments needed to reach full coverage of deprived populations as stated in the Millennium Development Goals. Subsequently it describes the essence of a health economic approach to water and sanitation intervention.
