Renewable energy sources

Publication

One of the pathways to follow in order to achieve the goals for sustainable development is an increased reliance on renewable energy, among others solar, wind and biomass energy that are all three suitable for the production of electricity.

In this PhD thesis it is shown that these renewable electricity sources have technologically seen sufficient potential to generate electricity at levels that exceed the present electricity demand several times. Solar PV has the most significant technical potential, however, is not available at competitive costs on the short term. Wind and biomass electricity, on the other hand, are estimated to become available at high levels at relative low costs.
